One address for everything: contact@themangawire.com. We read every message and reply within two working days. To speed things up, put the matching word in the subject line: Correction, Info, Press or Partnership.

What to write to us about

  • Report an error in an article: subject “Correction”, with the article link. The corrections policy sets out what happens next.
  • Send us information: an announcement, a figure, a document. Tell us where it comes from; we publish nothing without an identified source.
  • Ask us a question about the site, an article or how we work.

Publishers and press officers

MangaWire covers publisher announcements, release calendars, print runs and sales figures, in French, Spanish and English. To send us press releases, publication schedules, artwork and press kits, write to the same address with “Press” in the subject line. State any embargoes: we respect them.

We do not relay leaked chapters or scans; if your release concerns content circulated before its official publication, we wait for the official date.

Advertising, partnerships and sponsored content

MangaWire accepts advertising and commercial partnerships. It is a revenue stream we stand behind, and it funds a free outlet with no paywall, published in three languages.

We work with publishers, specialist shops, reading platforms, studios, merchandise makers and event organisers. Write to us with “Partnership” in the subject line, telling us your site, your product and the outcome you are after.

Rates depend on the format, the duration and the number of languages. Ask us for details: we reply with a firm quote, no strings attached.

Our rules, and why they protect you too

All paid content is labelled as such, and every paid link carries rel="sponsored". This is not timid caution: it is what Google’s guidelines require, and a concealed paid link exposes the advertiser as much as the publisher to a manual action. A disclosed link keeps its full value in visibility, traffic and brand awareness.

We write sponsored content ourselves. A turnkey text, optimised elsewhere and published as is, does nothing for anyone: not for the reader, not for your rankings. You review and approve it before publication.

We keep control of editorial content. A partnership buys neither a favourable review, nor silence on a subject, nor a place in our rankings. If we cannot speak well of a product, we say so or we do not publish.

What we turn down

Scan and piracy sites, counterfeits, account resale marketplaces, gambling, link networks, and anything whose promotion would harm readers or creators. We also turn down hidden links, deceptive redirects and insertion requests without disclosure.

Requests that go unanswered

Offers of concealed links, undisclosed sponsored articles and turnkey content published without review receive no reply.

FAQ: all your questions answered

Who writes for MangaWire?

Every article is signed and links to its author's page. The newsroom is introduced on the authors page, with each person's role and articles. No article is published without a byline.

Where does your information come from?

From a primary source whenever possible: a publisher's press release, an official site or account, a serialization magazine. Failing that, from an identified outlet that we name in the text. Sources are listed at the bottom of every article, with a direct link.

Why does the site exist in three languages?

Manga sells in three large markets outside Japan: France, Spain and Spanish-speaking America, and the English-speaking world. An announcement made in Tokyo concerns all three at once, but the information travels at very different speeds. Every article is published the same day in all three languages, with the same sources.

Do you relay scans or chapter leaks?

Never. No link, no reproduction, no summary of plot elements taken from them. We wait for the official publication. It is a rule of our editorial policy, without exception.

What do you do when you get something wrong?

The correction is made in the body of the article, a dated note is added at the end, the update date changes, and all three language versions are corrected together. We never delete an article to make an error disappear.
