FAQ: all your questions answered

How often is the section updated?

Several times a week, at the pace of announcements. Information confirmed by a primary source is published the same day, in all three languages.

How do you tell confirmed news from a rumor?

Three levels, visible from the headline. Confirmed: the source is primary, the text is in the present tense. Reported: an identified outlet says so, and we name it. Rumor: no official source confirms it, a box says so at the top and the headline stays hedged.

Can I send you a tip?

Yes, at contact@themangawire.com. Tell us where it comes from: we publish nothing without an identified source.

Do you translate Japanese titles?

We use the title the series is published under in the language of the article, and give the original title in brackets on first mention. When a series has no edition in a language, we keep the Japanese title in latin script.

What do you do with an announcement made at a convention?

We wait for the publisher to confirm it, on stage or by press release, before publishing. A photo of a slide shared on social media is not enough: the name of the source and the moment of the announcement appear in the article.
